The Future of General Aviation

The future of general aviation is largely resting on the shoulders of Cirrus and Lancair. As a pilot and GA enthusiast, I hope that both companies are wildly successful. Pilots should benefit from friendly competition, continued innovation, price checks, and most importantly an improved safety record. I want to applaud some recent “we are all in this together” discussions amongst the Lancair and Cirrus pilot organizations. Specifically, Gordon (Cirrus) and Dean (Lancair) for showing the proper attitude by sharing information that could be valuable for both Cirrus and Lancair. Remember - We are all in this together (as pilots) and should welcome the success of both Companies and the resulting revitalization of the general aviation industry.
