Hello COPA community,
I’m looking to rent an SR22T for a trip to AirVenture Oshkosh this year and hoping someone here can point me in the right direction — or perhaps has an aircraft available.
About me:
- Commercial pilot, 1,055 total hours
- 224 hours SR22T PIC, including transatlantic ferry operations. East to West and West to East
- CFI/CFII with FAA and GACA certifications
- Complex/high-performance endorsement, current
- IFR rated — will complete in-type IPC prior to departure
- Full non-owned aircraft renter’s insurance in place
Trip details:
- Departure: anywhere in the southwest US (California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas)
- Dates: July 10 through approximately July 31
- Plan to fly in, camp under the wing at KOSH for AirVenture week, then return
- Passenger: one additional person
- Have flown into Oshkosh twice before and am familiar with the Fisk arrival procedure
I’m comfortable with a thorough checkout, any club/owner requirements, and will treat the aircraft with the same care I give my own. Happy to provide full logbook documentation, insurance certificates, and references.
If you know of a school, club, or private owner in the southwest willing to rent to an experienced pilot for an extended cross-country trip, I’d genuinely appreciate the lead. Direct messages welcome.
Thank you.
