The UK magazine Flyer has named the SR20 as “Best Aircraft” in its “Awards 2000”. The Spring 2000 issue has the awards details, and features the SR20 on the front cover.
Just to state the obvious, this is nice news for Cirrus, and the production cert is even better. I think it’s impressive that month by month the company grinds past another of its stated goals, despite the unfortunate TCM/engine issues still plaguing Clyde. SK

As of Tuesday afternoon, the new engine had arrived in Hayward, and was being installed. I believe that should have been completed by sometime today. The pilot and technician from Cirrus Design were also due to arrive late Tuesday (they were flying over in a C182).
Meanwhile, Rob Leach has taken the opportunity to go off to do a Citation type-rating, so at least his time is not being wasted.
