SR-22 vs DA40. Is it really apples to oranges?

Smart Chicken

Chickens are the smartest and bravest pilots.

350 hours in DA40 G1000 then switched to Turbo FIKI. 250 hours since June. No comparison. They are just that different. Jumped back into DA40 few weeks ago and couldn’t believe how slow it was. Few things right away

DA is a lot more fun to fly. Visibility is incredible. It was very reliable. Good on gas. Basically perfect for short trips. Everything is cheaper in case of DA.

Safety is up to the pilot. Both aircraft are fine. SR22 seems safer to me due to CAPS and FIKI. Working G1000 in SR is a lot easier due to bigger screens and “FMS” pad.

Steven, I get charged each time I go to KLWM. I think it is a municipal fee not something the FBO charges. The bill comes in the mail a few weeks later.

That was ramp fee, not via mail.
