Picked up new SR20 in Dec 21, 11 months later go in for first annual and the shop found oil leaking from top of block. ( 2nd new SR 20 in same shop with same problem) They sent engine back to Lycoming for fix and Lycoming found corrosion on crank shaft. Even tho under warranty Cirrus says I may have to pay for new shaft
Environmental corrosion is seldom if ever covered under warranty, there is some exclusion language in the warranty contract.
Internal to the seal or under the cranksahft seal and exterior side to the elements?
