ACR’s new GlobalFix units provide the most comprehensive alert and locate beacon signals available. An internal GPS transmits your position information along with your unique, digitally-coded distress signal so rescue agencies know both who you are and where you are. Since both signaling and position-finding capabilities are contained within the same unit, you can be assured that both will be available when needed in an emergency.

Flashing red LED indicates when unit is on

The ACR web site ties in the product number 2744 with the ACR Electronics model RLB-35.

It’s not cheap at $1,149, but this is the model that preformed.

I think it is the Demo he usually flys, he made mention of that tail number at SNF

When I was leaving Sun N Fun Saturday, I saw Alan and Ian getting into that plane at Plant City Airport…I asked them where they were headed… Ian said they were going to Duluth.
He mentioned that it was a short flight. I think he was kidding.(probably over 1200 NM from Plant City , FLA.

Well by the looks of it from Torben’s video on the public forum, it is now owned by someone in Europe.

Looking on the FAA website it is owned by AK Leasing LLC in Cloquet, MN, which is a short distance away from Duluth.

I remembered this thread late last night, and though about writing a quick response. However, my pillow was a little more comfortable and appealing than booting up the old computer to make a trivial post. [:)]
