Hangar available &quotRYY&quot

What do you think of this…

I have a hangar available in Marietta, GA RYY.

Most people have the airplane and can’t find hangar. I am just trying to help out a fellow Cirrus owner. I wont advertise until next month. If anyone know someone that could use a T hangar let me know. A Cirrus would look great in the hangar. Have a great Cirrus hangar day.

Curious as to what you are paying for a hangar.

There are no available hangars in Charleston SC at either Chas. Exec or East Cooper airport. Having been on a waiting list for a hangar since I ordered my Cirrus, none have come open. I was told that they are rarely available.

I called the local Aviation Authority and tried to twist arms to get some hangars built. They claimed to not have money for the project but told me I could build some privately.

I have now embarked on a project to build a ten unit T hangar plus taxiway, etc at Charleston Executive (JZI). I am dealing with two government agencies directly and several more indirectly. The engineering costs to get permitting is ridiculous. In additon, we are still experiencing a building boom so the construction costs are high.

When all is said and done I am going to have to rent these things for $350 per month. I have been receiving refundable deposits from propspective aircraft owners but I have a heard from a bunch of people who claim the price is too high.

What’s the going rate out there for really nice new T hangars with a private security gate and electricity provided?

I have been quoted $225.00 per month at Portland-Hillsboro, Oregon with power. I am still on the waiting list. I haven’t yet checked these out. I’m bringing my tape measure and plan to make a visit to them this summer. They are supposed to be 45’ wide. I don’t remember the exact depth, but it is plenty. I want to make sure there is close to 45’ clear to accomodate the SR22.

We pay $250 for a hangar in Tampa, FL that is far from new and a bit shabby. New ones are on the drawing board, but I’m not holding my breath. So, $350 for a new one at JZI would be reasonable in the southeast, I think. We just got back from JZI on a trip to Sullivan Island and it seems to be a decent GA airport, plus it’s close to downtown Charleston and Sullivan Island, similar to the situation we have in Tampa with our two runway airport – close to downtown Tampa, fairgrounds, and, most importantly, our house. Here, the Airport Authority just built a really nice terminal so we outclass you quite a bit right now.

350/mo at CMH {Columbus Ohio}

Curious as to what you are paying for a hangar.

They’re building my hanger now (along with 19 others), in Huntsville, AL. $175/month, with electricity. It’s pretty close to the end of the new 5000 foot runway they are building, to replace the current 3700 ft one. Even I should be able to land an SR22 on that.

In the Northeast area of CT a T-hanger is $250/month. We’re relocating to AZ and in Prescott they are building 33 new hangers @ $275/month. I’m not holding my breath since there are 250 people on the waiting list and I’m number 225.

Hello Mark,

Location, Location, location. Just a small example, I have another at HEF that is rented for $650 a month, RYY $350 no elect. @ CHS you should get $430. and up. I would build more then 10 if you could. Price goes up when there is no more room to build hangars. Hangars are a gold mine. Best of luck and see about a 24 hr 10000 gals fuel tank to go with the hangars.
