I think of that every time I look at the cMax display. Wouldn’t it be great to see the both the altitude and the position represented? Probably some sort of FAA rule that keeps them from doing it…
I’d love to see the ability to upgrade just the MFD to something along the lines to R9 with Avidyne (newer, better resolution, new features with an ADSB interface) I don’t like the IPad replacement option and would lose engine monitoring. My MFD is almost 13 years old, and I use it 5% for checklists, 90% for engine monitoring, and 5% for big picture while shooting instrument approaches. Don’t want to spend a lot, but would think if Avidyne did this they could generate some good revenue.
We have that in the Eclipse.
