I just spoke with Angel Flight of Georgia to verify my application process. They are accepting applications, and assigning flights once approved (almost immediate), for Katrina relief. Apparently, you DO NOT have to attend the orientation session to fly relief missions. Orientation will allow you to fly patients.
I am meeting with them around 1200EDT today and will report back with more information. I am also going to inquire about ground volunteers (non-flying spouses, etc) for volunteer admistrative support.
In the meantime, any interested may download the application, complete it and fax it to AF. Even if you could only do one flight, it would help.
