Wingtip light replacement

Has anybody replaced lights on their gen1 SR 22?
Any good suggestions for the wing tip replacements?

Just did these on my G1. https://aviationvibes.com/collections/lights The Wheelen Orion from Jim Barker

Easy to install and top notch instructions. The adaptor harness from Jim is the way to go.

Yep they just work … had local AP on field shop install them less than a few hours as I recall

Yes. The Whelen Orions are MUCH better. Easy to install. Only takes a few hours tops. You also get like 2 pounds of useful load back because the power supply for the old lights comes out.

We did the same on our G1, they’re great.

My hangar is a really tight fit. When comparing the Whelen Orion’s to the Pulsar 600s, I went with the Pulsars because they’re slightly lower profile: https://aeroleds.com/products/pulsar-600-led-forward-tail-position-anti-collision-wingtip-light?srsltid=AfmBOopNv6Qb15wijN-8xyV6N5tD5CyoDN7q8j3FU2wjamhGBZRW4rjl

do these bypass the original ballast, one of ours has gone bad and this whole kit is almost the cost of the ballast itself

The LED lights do not require the ballast, it is removed.
