All current or prospective SR22 position holders will find the article “Better Than New” by J. Mac McClellan (Flying, January 2001 p. 11) of interest. Mac describes the exchange to the Continental IO-550’s in his Baron 58 and the Hartzell three-blade prop. This is the same engine/prop combination in the SR22. There are probably some differences in the details of the installation and the figures Mac cites in the article. I haven’t looked at the SR22 specs yet to compare.
