Cartel violence is a rough day in part of our event today. The story has it that the government arrested ahead cartel official on February 21st 2026 and the following day the cartel is lighting, several cars on fire and their reports of gunshots surrounding the city. The story is developing when I talked to anyone planning to fly to Puerto Vallarta today or in the near future to monitor the news carefully.

Usually airports are sacred ground in Mexico, protected by the military and considered off limits for violence. It will be interesting to watch how this develops.
