newcomer to forum: MAX USEFUL LOAD 950?

I am about to send in my deposit to order an SR20 (delivery in 2 years plus I think)

Anyway I am confused about the useful load discussion,

THe SR20 spec sheets say MAX USEFUL LOAD = 950lb, with a standard empty weight of 1950 lb.

What does this include? What brings it down to the 840 or so that i see mentioned on this forum?

That may be what the spec sheet says, but it’s not reality.

However, there is a planned gross weight increase of 150-200 lbs that will return the useful loads to about 950-1000lbs.

Basically the planes are heavier than anticipated.
