Extra operating costs of SR22 over SR20

The average bill for an annual varies also depending on what part of the country you are in and where you are having it done. The inspection itself can be anywhere from $2-4,000. However, there are always other items that can easily take your final bill to over $10K. If you do a search on the site, many have posted how much they spent for an annual.

2 years ago, I switched to a 22 after 10 years of 20.
Insurance went up 20+% for similar hull value. The only way to know what the difference will be for you is asking for a quote.
gas consumption up almost 40% per hour, so 15+% per Nm.
Parts are similar
Even though they are the same, shops tend to charge more for a 22 annual.

In return, I can safely load more, climb much faster at altitude, cruise 20% faster.

All I can say is that I loved flying my 20 but knew I needed more power. Feel safer today.
The UPDT nickname might somehow carry some relevance.

J ai l’impression que vous regrettez un peu d’ĂȘtre passĂ© du SR20 au SR22.? Je suppose qu’étant basĂ© Ă  RBT vous avez besoin de puissance pour survoler les reliefs de l’atlas ?
Que signifie l’acronyme UPDT par ailleurs ?
