Amber is a great “right seat passenger”.
Flew at 36,000 feet, almost 400 Kts Ground Speed, (360 TAS) and we had to go ILS into home airport because of the smoke from the fires!
Missed the later closure of the airport because of a prankster who was carrying fake grenades in his suitcase!!! See article here!

Thanks Pierre and Giuseppe! I enjoyed flying with both of you! Giuseppe - If winter wasn’t around the corner I would have been tempted to stick around Montana for a while. It’s soo beautiful there.
I’m currently in Seattle and heading to Portland next. After that I think California makes the most sense but who knows?

Coincidentally, my son (a senior in college in the LA area) sent me a link to your blog last night. I thought…I think know some folks that have given you a lift. Sure enough, it was you. He is an avid couch-surfer (both as a host and a traveler), so I suspect he came across your blog in that respect.

Thanks! I haven’t been running into many pilots form MN… and yes, I think I will postpone checking off MN until it warms up a bit. I grew up in Rochester, NY before I escaped to Florida. Lake effect snow was intense!
