Saw 135CD at Santa Monica, CA today. It is apparently a factory demo.
I figured this out because I was in a King Air with Woody McClendon (the former West Coast regional sales guy) who recognized the voice on the radio as his replacement.
I was bemused at Woody having to get in line behind an SR20, both on final and on the taxiway. I of course gave him excessive grief.

I wasn’t aware that Woody had left the Company Did he happen to say why? What is he doing now (besides following SR20’s in King Airs)? I’m only interested as Woody sold me my SR20 about 4 years ago.
Marty #119 And hoping for November!
The “Wood man” left Cirrus for an opportunity with Million Air of Monterey, which is the parent of Del Monte Aviation. Apparently the opportunity is one that he couldn’t pass up. Besides Woody gets to fly jets again plus a significant stake in management. From eveything I hear he is doing great!

Woody left Cirrus last fall, I believe, and is now VP of Aircraft Management at Million Air in Monterey, CA. He oversees the charter, flight instruction, and aircraft management departments, and has been instrumental in rebuilding the organization. He’s still flying (they recently sold their Lear 35 and are purchasing a Citation III) and seems to be having a good time. His career has included more flying than sales, though he seems to be very good at both.
