In conjunction with my other Posting regarding the comparison of Preheat with using cowl plugs or a cowl cover, I also documented the cooldown process after a flight using the cowl plugs. This was outside, on the ramp, with a wind speed of about 5-8 MPH.
Using only inlet plugs, the engine is still 50 degF above ambient 5 hours after shutdown. Cooldown.docx (55.8 KB)
