I was practicing dead-stick spot landings yesterday at the old McClellan AFB and your picture made me think of the Naval Aviator’s comment after his first arrival at an Air Force base when asked about the runway:
“Well it seemed kinda short.”
AF dude: “Short???!?!”
“Yah, but it was realllly wide!”
