New position holder

I don’t think I could make it through the 2 year wait without this web site. Thank you Clyde and others.

Haven’t heard alot of complaints about starting lately. Is there a new start procedure which has eliminated the problem?

How is the Continental holding up otherwise?

Basically, yes. The trick is to ignore the “normal start” procedure, and use only the “cold start” or “hot start” procedures, and when starting (especially cold) to barely crack the throttle. It needs to be off the stop, but less than e.g. the normal 1000rpm position. Then when it starts, open it slowly, and if it starts to die, pull it back again. Also, have the boost pump on for all starts, until it is running smoothly.
