# model for a gift

My father in-law fly’s an SR22 and I want to get a model of his plane for him. I found a couple places on line and the best I have seen seems to be a place in Arizona, but they make their models in the Philippines. They are called Factory Direct models. Has anyone ever worked with them?

Factory Direct can have long lead times but I’ve had good luck with them.

It may take a while, but their models are beautiful. I’ve worked with them twice and was happy both times. FWIW, Cutter Aviation gives a model to the buyers of new aircraft. They use FDM.

I used them for my model. They did a great job, better than expected. Wait time was 8-10 weeks. You need to upload a ton of pictures from all different angles (I uploaded 42 high res pics) to get a great result.
