The only times I’ve flown in anyplace that needed a PPR, nobody ever asked me for the number. I assume it’s because the FBO has a list of the tail numbers that have received a number, so they know you reserved parking. I think Santa Rosa tower might once have asked me if I had a PPR (it was during Bohemian Grove), to which I replied “affirmative” and that was good enough. I typically have it written on my kneeboard just in case.
We used to put our PPR #s in the remarks section of the flight plan.
Don’t know if it helped.
Yep, In the junk folder the day after I sent back the CC auth form..
This is the email I received back from Bent Wings…In junk
Your unique PPR (Prior Permission Required) number is XXXXXX. This number guarantees you a designated parking spot for the event.
Please note that if you have multiple landings or arrivals planned, a separate PPR number is required for each one.
We look forward to welcoming you in October! If you have any inquiries or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to us at any time.
Kind Regards,

Cross-post here… Please see THIS thread for the COPA Migration NOTAM document and PPR Form document (if still needed).
From SAV in the north.
Not sure what time you’re planning to make the trek, but I ran it for several different times throughout the day from KSAV > KFHB on Thursday and it’s all showing clear… let’s see if it holds up!
I’m coming from Austin and I’m thinking about doing it in 2 days (even though I could do it in 1).
Day 1: KGTU-KREG (LA Regional, for fuel)-KTLH (Tallahassee)
Day 2: KTLH - KFHB (short flight we can do before any storms build during the day)
Anyone have any experience with either KREG or KTLH? In particular some of the Foreflight comments on KTLH have not been great so wanted to ask.
We are bringing our twin boys (age 8) + au pair to the event next week, and I have a message in to the “Camp Amelia” folks (904-753-6258) to see what activities might be available for them to participate in. Happy to post details here if/when I hear back (they have an online calendar, but I do not think it is updated and so guests are directed to call.

Braun,
I received an email from the ‘Experience Planner’ Sharon Rand (Sharon.Rand@omnihotels.com) who was able to book a day at Camp Amelia for my son (10). You are correct, the calendar did not look updated but she took care of it quickly and has us registered. May try her email if you don’t hear back.
Thanks, @franklopez. Yesterday, I both called and emailed them and am still waiting to hear back (with bated breath?
).
FWIW, here is a link to the Omni Resort’s Event Calendar (note that there is live music on Friday & Saturday nights starting @ 8 pm!):

If we strike out on getting the boys into Club Amelia (Kids Club) for Friday, we will likely register them for the “Fishing 101” activity (which appears to have availability):
Does anyone know if there is an Attendee List available somewhere via Link, App or otherwise? I remember this from the past but have been unable to easily locate one this time.
What about a link to the silent auction?
This will be available very soon!
I wish i could do the whole weekend…. But is there anything required or an option (couldn’t find it) to just fly for the day to Fernandina and meet a few faces and just say hi…..?
I finally connected yesterday with the Omni Experience Planner:

While she was pleasant, she really did not have much more information about any of the activities (especially the Camp Amelia “kids club”), other than the limited amount which is already published on their website. However, my takeaway is that this is now the “low season” for them and so they do not run the same level of activities as during the summer months.
Ultimately, our plan is to try to figure things out after we get settled at the resort (we arrive next Thursday afternoon). It does sound like they have a neat Nature Center on-site (with snakes, turtles, etc.) and also offer some options for kids (8+) and adults relating to Fishing 101, Shark Tooth Hunts on the Beach, Segway Tours, etc. which may be of interest.
Thanks again for sending along her contact information and I hope this helps others who may be bringing kids as well.
Will there be simulator sessions this year?
No on-site simulator sessions this year… but there are multiple ground sessions being presented by COPA U!
Hi; I was going to register for COPA migration today and I called the Omni hotel and they said they are all booked out from Oct 9-12th. I would still like to attend if hotel room becomes available. Any suggestions? Anyone cancelled?
Thanks
Did they check the Villas as well?
What about for the Partner-in-Command Class?
