I am hoping for advice on seeking reimbursement for a hotel reservation that we had to book after a delayed flight. Here’s what happened:n late July, we were from flying from SLC via ORD to our final destination. Our flight from SLC to ORD was delayed due to mechanical failure, as the American Airlines agents acknowledged. We were forced to stay overnight at ORD The delay was due to mechanical failure, and reasonable overnight accommodations were available. AA provided the initial voucher to the ORD Hilton and suggested calling for a second room.Is there any public documentation on AA’s “contracted rate” for hotel accommodation, or any other policy governing accommodations for flights when AA acknowledges responsibility for the delay?
I didn’t find the right solution from the Internet.
